About Dracul Flags
The Dracul flag stands for our nation and the shared history, pride, principles, and commitment of its people. It also stands for the Order of the Dragon, a society that Vlad III and his father belonged to. When we properly display this powerful symbol, we signal our respect for everything it represents.
The flag shouldn't be flown in inclement weather unless it's an all-weather flag. Flags displayed at night should be properly illuminated. In a time of national mourning, hang the flag at half-mast. The flag can be flown every day, but it is often flown to show patriotism on these observances

First Flag of Dracul (retired)
The First Flag of Dracul, which is pictured with the Welsh Dragon in Gold, followed by a tri-color of white, red, and blue, was designed by Stephen Luke and Dmitri Howie. The Welsh Dragon was initially selected as the Dragon of Dracul, due to its ease of access and purchase through products. Throughout the years, the flag did face some negative feedback, due to its lack of unique design.
In 2022, the Founder's Committee made the decision to redesign the flag, to something unique in design. The First Flag of Dracul is no longer available for purchase, but those who still physically possess it may continue to fly it. Government and Royal Buildings are prohibited from flying the retired flag.
Department of Defense Flag
The Department of Defense Flag is the flag that represents all branches of the Dracul Armed Forces. The flag was designed in 2020, to reduce costs of purchasing multiple branch flags. The design shares a similarity with the United States Marine Corps flag, with respect to Founding Father Connor Modena, aka Prince Jakob.
While the symbolism on the flag still possesses the old Welsh Dragon from the first flag of Dracul, it remains the active flag for Defense.
The Royal Standard
This flag was designed by the 2nd Royal Family (The House of Jipa), who came into reign, after the House of Von Gerichten. The Royal Standard is displayed on all buildings that the Prince resides at. It is not a flag that is available for purchase to the general public.
The flag shows two blue stripes on top and bottom, along with a gold stripe in the center. In the middle, a circle displays the coat of arms for the Royal House of Jipa. Deo Vindice can be seen in the middle, meaning 'God Vindicates', the national motto for Dracul.
The Chancellor's Standard
The Chancellor's Standard is perhaps one of the newest flags of Dracul, since the Chancellor was originally represented by the Department of Defense flag, when he held Commander in Chief status. Since then, that responsibility has been transferred to the Prince.
The Chancellor's Standard is seen with two red stripes on top and bottom, along with a blue filling and red shield. Just as with the national flag, a bird, ouroboros, and spinning sun can be seen on the shield.
