Situated in Galveston, Texas at Kempner Park, hosts Dracul's first Duchy. This area has famously known as one of Galveston's oldest and famous parks, especially with the Garten Verein wedding venue within the property.

The Duchy was commissioned by His Royal Highness Stephen, in honor of his mother Mary Frances, which is where the name Marlanda comes from (Mar meaning Mary, and Landa for land). Her Grace Mary, Duchess of Marlanda was an educator for over 40 years, and the territory is situated across the street from the last school she held a principal position at, Holy Family, formerly known as Galveston Catholic School.

Following her recent diagnosis of dementia, the Duchy preserves her success, her accomplishments, her legacy and honor. Currently, there are no citizens belonging to Marlanda, however this may change in the future.
